Because we all have automatic habits and ways of showing up and conducting ourselves in the world, we are often not conscious about our own interactive behavior patterns: how we talk, listen and respond to others. This impacts our relationships with our families, spouses, children, friends and co-workers. If you want to learn practical and powerful tools to help you become proactive instead of reactive or to find coping strategies and resolve tough and persistent problems, please contact me. Together we will discover solutions while you achieve results step by step.
Coaching and counseling alike offer many benefits such as support and help with finding coping strategies, solutions to unresolved problems and increased self-leadership skills. As a coach and a mental health counselor I facilitate a positive change process where I help you find fresh perspectives on difficult problems. During this process I also assist you with discovering tools that can help you achieve increased self-awareness along with an understanding of your own power as well as your impact on others.
In my practice I apply holistic mind-body strategies such as EMDR and NeuroLinguistic Programming while facilitating the healing process. These therapeutic approaches engage both sides of your brain to accelerate the change process more effectively than traditional “talk therapy”. I have personally experienced the quick and lasting effects of these approaches.
The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.
– Abraham Maslow
I strive to provide a safe environment where we together can explore areas of your life that are difficult and that might prevent you from being where you want to be. During the counseling process I will assist you in gaining a better understanding of yourself and your difficulties and help you capitalize on this understanding. Ultimately, the goal is to for you to discover what you need to do to create a more satisfying life.
Any change process requires that you to give yourself time and space. Positive change doesn’t always come easy, so be kind and forgiving of yourself throughout the process. I also encourage you to keep in mind that on the other side of a challenge you will find healing and wellness, but be mindful that you will only get out of the process what you are willing to put into the process.
